Annual Gold Medal Dinner
   
  The NSC will review the annual NSC financial statement prior to the start of the Skate Canada Skating season to determine the financial feasibility of funding the annual Gold Medal Dinner in whole or in part.
   
  The dinner shall be held on or about the third Wednesday in the month of May. It shall honour (by invitation) skaters, volunteers, and officials who have met the Gold Medal Dinner Criteria.
   
  For the purpose of the Gold Medal Dinner Criteria, the skating season shall commence with the start of spring school and end with the Clubs’ final test session of the regular winter season and no later than April 10th.
   
  Criteria For Recognition
   
 
1.  Must be a Home Club skater or Skate Canada official of a Niagara Region Club. Region Club.
   
2.  Tests taken up to and including the end of the regular winter season and no later than April 10th will be recognized at that year’s dinner. Tests taken after that time will be recognized the following year.
   
3.  Skaters must have passed a Skate Canada Gold Test in any one or more of the following disciplines:
   
   Gold Dance
   Gold Skills
   Gold Freeskate
   Gold Interpretive (first test only)
   Gold Interpretive Dance (first test only)
   Diamond Dances
   Senior Competitive
     
4. Special guests shall be invited to the dinner. These special guests will be acknowledged for their achievements. These shall include:
     
   SINGLE, DANCE, PAIRS
     
     Any skater placing first, second or third at a WO Sectional Championship during the skating season.
       
     Any skater placing first, second or third at the All Ontario Championships during the skating season.
       
     Any skater competing at the Canadian Championships during the skating season.
       
   SYNCHRONIZED (The captain and a team designate shall be invited to the dinner)
       
    Any synchronized skating team placing first, second or third at the Central Regional Festival of Synchronized Skating Championships during the skating season.
       
    Any synchronized skating team competing at the Canadian Synchronized Skating Championships during the skating season.
       
   SKATE CANADA OFFICIALS
       
     Any SKATE CANADA official retiring with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of continuous service. Names shall be forwarded to the NSC Gold Medal Dinner Coordinator by Home Clubs no later than April 10th.
       
   The NSC Scholarship Recipient(s) of the current skating season.
       
   The "Volunteer of the Year" as selected by the NSC and each of the home clubs of the Niagara Region.
       
   
5.  Any skater receiving any three of the following Skate Canada Gold Medals:
     
   Gold Dance
   Gold Freeskate
   Gold Skills
   Eigth Figure
     
  shall be defined as a triple gold medallist. No other combination of three gold medals other than those listed shall be recognized as a triple gold. A skater may qualify only once as a triple gold medallist.
The Council shall also award monetary recognition of $100.00 to any skater who is a triple gold medalist in accordance with the required criteria. (Professional coaches are not eligible for monetary recognition.)
   
  RECOMMENDATIONS
     
   It is recommended that the Council fund the following meals:
     
   All skaters/officials who qualify for recognition as outlined in the criteria.
     
   If funds are available, each of the above is entitled to bring one guest.
     
   NSC executive to include chairman, vice chairman, past chairman, secretary and treasurer.
     
   The Gold Medal Dinner Coordinator and the NSC Volunteer of the Year.
     
   Skate Canada Western Ontario Chairperson or designate and guest.
     
   The captain and a team member of the synchro teams who qualify for recognition as outlined in the criteria.
     
   The recipient(s) of the NSC Scholarship and guest.
